TCH CISCO NETWORK ASSOCIATE:

This Cisco Network Associate program is designed to gain understanding in concepts and procedures pertaining to routers, image backups, show and debug commands, convert binary to decimal number, and assign IP addresses to routers, protocols at the transport layer, configure switch, and troubleshoot slow or no connectivity issues.  Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:

  • Explain the fundamentals of network procedures, how to use router image backups, use the copy, show and debug commands, convert binary to decimal number, and assign IP addresses to routers,
  • Discuss protocols at the Transport layer, login to a Catalyst switch, configure a switch, and troubleshoot slow or no connectivity issues,
  • Explain how to implement VLANS and trunks, configure spanning-tree protocol and inter-VLAN operations, and secure and troubleshoot a switch network,
  • Describe the purpose of ACLs, use wildcard masks with ACLs, and configure and troubleshoot ACLs, and explain static and dynamic translation,
  • Explain the functions of the TCP/IP stack and OSI model layers in host-to-host network and the functions of the TCP/IP stack |w in host-to-host network communications.

EDUCATION & JOB EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows
  • Ability to work with a computer
