In the Healthcare Management Department, there are several certification options available.
Joshua supports students in the following healthcare-related certification fields:
Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
Certified Outpatient Coding (COC)
Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
Billing and Coding (MBC)
Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)
Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA)
Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Medical Assistant (MA)
Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Pharmacy Technician (PT)
and much more...
Certification also means "you are board certified." Receiving a certificate from an institution DOES NOT MEAN you are board certified. (This is a very important information to understand!!!). To be board certified students must go to a certification board to take their examination and Joshua will support you by providing classroom preparation to take the examination.

COMMENCEMENT DATE
1. Thirty days (30) after graduation (Highly recommended)
2. Sixty days (60) after graduation (Recommended with reservation)
Preferably, a student must be ready to enter the certification process within 30 days of graduation. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to pass the certification examination. Success rate is higher if you sit for the examination immediately upon graduation.
