TCH MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST:

This Microsoft Office Specialist program is designed to gain knowledge in Microsoft Office business software, business computer networking, and principles of desktop publishing, including mass mailings, special features and configuration, compiling and editing spreadsheets, preparing tables and graphs, receipt control, and preparing business performance reports.  Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:

  • Discuss edit menu, clipboard, help, research, speech recognition, and word count features, save as web pages, (TXT), or (RTF), and print envelopes and labels,
  • Explain advanced navigation and document collaboration and recovery features, open and repair corrupted documents, and merge two documents,
  • Outline how to create and modify navigation forms, use a switchboard to navigate the various objects in a database, customize and format forms,
  • Summarize how to create and modify reports and queries, use expression builder, calculate fields, group options, crosstabs, and find duplicates queries,
  • Explain how to create and edit validation rules, manipulate data, records, import and export data, and table relationships, add and bind controls, and group and sort data.

EDUCATION & JOB EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows
  • Ability to work with a computer
