COURSE NAME: ACT220 QuickBooks Fundamentals Certification
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn concepts and fundamentals of using and managing the QuickBooks software platform and interface. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) explain QuickBooks navigation and set up parameters including preferences windows and tabs, 2) describe QuickBooks chart of accounting, list of items, and fixed assets, 3) explain how to make general journal entries, work with trial balance, and set closing dates, 4) discuss how set up users and passwords, complete planning and budget, create alerts, and reminders, 5) explain how to create estimates, sales orders, invoices, sales receipts, and statements, and 6) prepare time sheets, pay employees, void and edit checks, and pay taxes
Prerequisites
Joshua’s Accounting Clerk, Accounting Specialist, or Bookkeeping Specialist programs

Course Grading and Policies
Points from: Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.
A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.
Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due date.Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.
Award Upon Completion
The student will receive 3 Credit Hours upon completion of this course.
