COURSE NAME: LAW104 Family Law
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn the essentials of Family Law. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) explain the role of a paralegal in a family law firm, 2) describe the rules of Living Together work, the Prenuptial Agreement and Marriage, 3) explain the Paternity and Adoption process, the Divorce and Separation rules and 4) recognize the Child Custody and Support concepts, the Divorce and Domestic Violence, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, and the legal concepts and the legal procedures associated with family law.

Course Grading and Policies
Points from: Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.
A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Award Upon Completion
The student will receive three credit hours upon completion of this course.
