COURSE NAME:  MOS101 Microsoft Word Processing

Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)

Students will learn the essentials of Microsoft Word processing.  Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) explain how to use spelling and grammar tools, use find, replace, and tabs, align paragraph text, insert hidden text, and use the show/hide feature in a document, 2) discuss edit menu, clipboard, help, research, speech recognition, and word count features, save as web pages, (TXT), or (RTF), and print envelopes and labels, 3) describe how to create, insert, and modify headers and footers, page numbers, pictures, diagrams, tables, picture files, clip art, and AutoCorrect, and 4) explain advanced navigation and document collaboration and recovery features, open and repair corrupted documents, and merge two documents.

Course Grading and Policies

Points from:  Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates.  Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.

Award Upon Completion

The student will receive a diploma upon completion of the program.
