COURSE NAME:  MSA105 Windows Installation & Configuration

Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)

Students will learn the essentials for installing and configuring windows.  Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) explain how to install Windows Professional and how to manage files, folders, and devices in Microsoft Windows, 2) discuss how to configure networking utilities and IIS , manage the remote assistance and remote desktop utilities in Windows Professional using networking protocols and services, 3) describe how to recover from a backup and configure security settings in Windows Professional, and 4) outline how to monitor and improve system performance and configure desktop settings in Windows professional to ensure that the system is reliable.

Course Grading and Policies

Points from:  Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates.  Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.

Award Upon Completion

The student will receive a diploma upon completion of the program.
