COURSE NAME:  CTS106 CompTIA Computer Operations HTTP

Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)

This is a hands-on training and test preparation course on the essentials of CompTIA computer operations. The training and test overview will equip students to be able to: 1) explain how to guard against risks to data and equipment in an electronic environment, how to schedule Disk Defragmenter to run regularly, and how to update drivers manually, 2) describe how to troubleshoot motherboard components, processors and adapter cards, and how to troubleshoot storage devices, 3) outline and explain the DEFRAG and NTBACKUP, disk management commands, basic disk to a dynamic disk, using the Disk Management tool, and how to use Performance Monitor to monitor a system, and 4) discuss how the User Account Control works, how to use the Services console to configure services startup problems and auto-restart errors.

Course Grading and Policies

Points from:  Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates.  Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.

Award Upon Completion

The student will receive a diploma upon completion of the program.
