COURSE NAME: CTS107 CompTIA Networks Fundamentals HTTP
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
This is a hands-on training and test preparation course on the essentials of CompTIA networks fundamentals. The training and test overview will equip students to be able to: 1) distinguish between LAN topologies and WAN topologies, between centralized and decentralized networks, and between the key network, 2) explain the basic features and characteristics of key Ethernet technologies, transmission flaws associated with analog and digital signals, factors that affect transmission, 3) describe how circuit switching works , how packet switching works, the capabilities of WAN transmission media and the basic WAN transmission, and 4) distinguish between the uses of ADSL, SDSL, VDSL, and cable modems, explain the basic characteristics of T1/E1, T3/E3, OC-x, and MPLS WAN types.

Course Grading and Policies
Points from: Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.
A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.
