COURSE NAME:  CTS110 CompTIA Control & Security HTTP

Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)

This is a hands-on training and test preparation course on the essentials of CompTIA Control and Security. The training and test overview will equip students to be able to: 1) differentiate between the security control types, explain the principles of availability, integrity, and confidentiality, the main processes of an access control system, 2) classify the types of malware, differentiate between the types of local social engineering attacks, and outline the types of remote social engineering techniques, 3) distinguish between TCP and UDP, explain the most common TCP and UDP ports, differentiate between the three main frameworks for NAC, and 4) identify the best practices for port security, when to use a port scanner as part of a vulnerability assessment, and  when to use a sniffer as part of a vulnerability assessment.

Course Grading and Policies

Points from:  Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates.  Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.

Award Upon Completion
