COURSE NAME: CRT HCA118 Pharmacy Technician & Math
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn the basic principles and essential concept of pharmacy formula, calculations, and measurements. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1) explain the mathematics diagnostic evaluation including fractions and decimals, ratios, percentages, simple equations, ratio-proportion, 2) understand the measurement systems, drug orders, and drug labels, 3) discuss the drug dosage calculations, including oral dosage of drugs and recognition of solutions, and 4) describe advanced drug measurements including intravenous solutions, equipment, body surface area, and advanced pediatric calculations.
