COURSE NAME: CRT HCA119 Comprehensive Pharmacy Tech Software
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn concepts and practical aspect of comprehensive pharmacy. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) understand pharmacy law, ethics, and regulatory agencies including competences, associations, and settings for technician, in addition to communication and role of the technician with customer/patient, 2) describe the dosage forms and routes of administration including conversions and calculations, in addition to drugs information references and community pharmacy practices, 3) explain the institutional pharmacy practices and additional pharmacy practices setting including bulk repackaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and 4) discuss the pharmacy billing and inventory management, medication safety and error prevention including pharmacy operations management and workflow.
