COURSE NAME:  CNA102 ND Lan, Wan & Switch

Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)

Students will learn about LAN, WAN, and Switch. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) explain dynamic routing, classless protocols, and implementing a single-area OSPF and EIGRP, 2) discuss how to configure NAT and PAT, transition to IPv6, and configure VPN, PPP, and frame relay connections, and interconnect devices, 3) explain how to implement VLANS and trunks, configure spanning-tree protocol and inter-VLAN operations, and secure and troubleshoot a switch network, and 4) describe the purpose of ACLs, use wildcard masks with ACLs, and configure and troubleshoot ACLs, and explain static and dynamic translation..

Course Grading and Policies

Points from:  Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates.  Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.

The student will receive 3 credit hours upon completion of the course.
