COURSE NAME: HCA112 Healthcare Supervision
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn the roles of healthcare supervisors. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1) explain the role, characteristics, and necessary skills for a successful supervisor in a healthcare environment, 2) describe the principles of planning, leading, controlling, staffing, and organizing at the supervisory level, 3) outline some examples of motivational techniques and explain how they can be utilized by a supervisor, and 4) discuss how supervisors plan, process, organize and delegate tasks, and analyze methods for handing conflict and stress.

A = 90% – 100%, B = 80% – 89%, C = 70% – 79%, D = 60% – 69%, F = 59% and Below.

Award Upon Completion
The student will receive three credit hours upon completion of the course.
